Submissions
Algeria’s first English publishing house. We invest 100% in your talent.
Our Commitment to You
At Atlas House, we operate on a traditional model. We take the risk so you can focus on the craft.
Investment & Royalties
- Upon manuscript approval, we cover all production, design, and distribution costs.
- You receive professional royalty payments on every copy sold.
- We never charge authors for any part of the publishing process.
The Editorial Partnership
- Our editors work with you one-on-one to refine your voice and polish your manuscript to international standards.
- We invest 100% in you, and we expect a collaborative spirit in return. We do not accept authors who are resistant to professional feedback; excellence requires the courage to refine.
- Publishing is a high-stakes timeline. We require authors who respect deadlines and stay diligent, as delays in the writing process directly impact the trajectory of your book’s production and launch.
The Atlas House Standard
We welcome all fiction genres with a strategic focus on narratives that bridge Algerian identity with global appeal, adhering to the following editorial preferences and submission standards:
- Works written natively in English that capture a unique perspective, cultural nuance, or a story the world hasn't heard.
- We accept both fully completed manuscripts and partially completed works, provided you include a comprehensive outline of the story’s trajectory.
- We value stories that offer a fresh perspective on the human condition, particularly those that speak to or from the Algerian experience.
- Regardless of the genre, the story must possess a cohesive structure, a compelling arc, and a clear sense of purpose.
If your manuscript blends originality with quality craftsmanship and a compelling narrative, we invite you to share your work with us. Join us in our mission to elevate powerful stories and enrich the literary landscape.
Non-Negotiables
To maintain the integrity of our inaugural catalog and ensure the highest quality of English-language prose, we adhere to the following non-negotiable standards:
- We do not republish existing works unless the manuscript meets our highest standards and undergoes a full editorial reconstruction. (e.g., a complete structural rewrite, professional rebranding, or a strategic pivot for a new audience).
- We are a traditional publisher and strictly do not offer vanity or "pay-to-publish" models.
- Submission does not guarantee publication; every work must pass our rigorous acquisition phase.
- We only publish original work born from human creativity and do not accept AI-generated content.
- We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for intellectual property theft or any form of plagiarism.
- All manuscripts must strictly adhere to the current Algerian governmental laws regarding publication.
- Our editorial focus is currently restricted to long-form prose, novels, and narrative fiction.
